At Berry Farm, Red Poll cattle are grazed on flower-rich herbal leys and meadows. This diet produces fine textured, flavourful meat that’s relatively high in Omega 3 oils.
Our traditional hay meadows and grazed pastures provide homes to wildflowers and invertebrates, which is excellent for small mammals and birds of prey including barn owls. Grazing is also part of our crop rotation, building natural fertility for our vegetable growing.
The dry aging and butchery takes place on Maisebrook Farm, a small local farm less than a mile away, keeping food miles low and supporting rural employment.
Our meat comes vacuum packed but without foam trays to reduce packaging.
